Ashley Sanders would rather do almost anything than write a blurb about herself, but she bets if she gives you the answers you’ll know the questions:

BYU, English and Philosophy, 29, Salt Lake, Gemini, radical, organizer, not much, okay, no money at all.

And some answers for questions you would never ask:

Yes. (Are you starting a radical street theater troupe?)

Definitely. (Are you an experimental feminist?)

Why not? (Why do you have all those weird ideas?)

Let’s not talk about it. (Do you have the haircut of a twelve-year-old boy?)

Privilege. (What is the biggest problem facing the world?)

Baby steps. (What is an argument you despise?)

Well, it looks like we’ve covered the important stuff.

Here’s to more strange questions and stranger answers!

Have you read Chinua Achebe’s essay “The Truth of Fiction?” You must:

Page 149 talks eloquently about privilege, and ends with this line: “Privilege, you see, is one of the great adversaries of the imagination; it spreads a thick layer of adipose tissue over our sensitivity.”
